COVID-19 v/s HUNGER

CMIE Report for Unemployment Rate in India

Big Question to Answer......CMIE - Unemployment Rate in India

CORONA VIRUS EFFECTS ON MIGRANTS :

Social distancing was not being maintain by the migrants / workers. Due to unemployment factor they had to force themself to rush towards the transportation hubs so they may reach their home distinction. The fear of starvation was more than the fear of covid-19. Transportation were shutdown due to coronavirus as the pandemic was drastically spreading worldwide. State government arranged buses to bring some migrant workers to back to their home villages and on the other hand some of the migrants decided to walk back to their hometown.

BUT they faced many problems like in-sufficient food supplied during their travel, food quality was not so good, rude behaviour of civil staff, foul smell in toilets, no hand wash and sanitizers etc...

Workers says: Hunger will kill us before COVID-19 does.

CORONA VIRUS EFFECTS ON MIDDLE-CLASS :

Historically, India's unemployment ratio was close to 2-3% and now due to coronavirus lockdown it has now almost increased more than 23% and is still rising high day by day. The higher employment rate is actually an indicator of the failure of society to provide jobs to people who are seeking it. It is necessary for government to take necessary action to help the country and overcome its current situation.

In India, coronavirus leaves people stranded
